Privacy Policy
Last Updated: November 3, 2026
Prat City LLC, doing business as BailEdu (“BailEdu,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), provides this Privacy Policy to explain how we collect, use and disclose personal information and the choices available to you, when you visit https://www.bailedu.com/ (the “Site”), landing pages, course platform, customer communications and related services that link to this policy (collectively, the “Services”).
Personal information means information that identifies you or can reasonably be linked to you or your device. Your use of the Services is also subject to our Terms of Service.
The Services may link to third-party websites or offer third-party features. Those companies’ independent privacy practices are described in their own policies. This policy explains our collection and disclosure of information in connection with those features.
Your use of the Services does not, by itself, constitute consent to optional tracking or advertising.
1. Information we collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we collect the following categories of information:
| Category | Examples | Main purposes |
| Identifiers and personal records | Name, date of birth, email address, mailing address, telephone number, account identifiers, username, password, security or identity-verification questions and bail agent license information | Account administration, eligibility and identity checks, communication, course delivery and required reporting |
| Commercial information | Purchases, payment status, transaction references, refunds and delivery details | Processing orders, payments, support and fulfillment |
| Course records | Enrollment, course progress, assessments and completion records | Providing the course, assisting you and reporting completion |
| Internet or other electronic activity | IP address, browser and device information, cookies and similar identifiers, pages visited, interactions, email opens and link clicks, referring sources and diagnostic logs | Site operation, security, troubleshooting, analytics and advertising |
| Approximate location | General location derived from an IP address or information you provide | Service operation, relevant content, analytics and regional privacy choices |
| Communications and feedback | Messages, support conversations, reviews and information you choose to submit | Responding to requests, resolving problems and managing feedback |
| Inferences | Interests or preferences inferred from interactions with the Services | Improving services and relevant communications or advertising |
Some information, such as a driver’s license number, if provided, and account credentials that allow access to an account, is sensitive personal information under certain privacy laws. We process this information for functions such as authentication, account security, course administration and required reporting. Sensitive personal information may also be included in records submitted to AI tools for the internal analysis and administrative work described in Section 4. Depending on the type of account used, some of those providers may use it for their own purposes, including to train their models. We do not use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you or for advertising. California residents may limit our use and disclosure of sensitive personal information as described in Section 10.
If you choose to sign in through a third-party provider, we receive basic account information from that provider, such as your name and email address, in accordance with the permissions you authorize at sign-in.
Payments are processed through payment providers. We receive transaction information needed to administer purchases and provide support.
You may choose not to provide information, but we may be unable to register you, provide a requested service or report course completion without required information.
2. Where information comes from
We obtain information directly from you, automatically through your use of the Services, and from service providers, advertising and analytics partners, referral sources, government entities and publicly available sources. This can include information needed to administer a course, verify license or completion details, communicate with you or promote the Services. Information obtained outside the Site is covered when used for these purposes.
3. How we use information
We use personal information to:
- Register accounts, verify information, deliver courses and administer assessments and completion records.
- Process payments, refunds, purchases and certificate delivery.
- Provide support and send account, course and transaction communications.
- Send marketing communications and review invitations, subject to your choices and applicable law.
- Operate, maintain, secure and improve the Services, including troubleshooting and measuring usage.
- Assist internal analysis and administrative work using software and AI tools.
- Measure advertising, attribute referrals and show relevant advertising, subject to applicable consent and opt-out requirements.
- Meet legal and regulatory obligations, resolve disputes and protect the rights and security of our users and business.
Profiling and automated decision-making. Our courses are delivered through automated systems. Registration checks, identity verification, exam scoring, course completion determinations and the reporting of completion records to the California Department of Insurance are performed automatically, without a person reviewing each one. If you disagree with an outcome, such as an account lockout, a failed exam or incorrect information in your records, contact our support team at support@bailedu.com or through our live chat. A staff member will review your account and, where appropriate, may correct your information, unlock your account, reset an exam attempt or resubmit a completion record. Where applicable law gives you the right to request information about our use of automated decision-making technology, including the logic involved and how it affected a decision about you, or to opt out of or appeal a decision made using that technology, you may exercise that right by emailing privacy@bailedu.com. Where permitted by law, we provide the human review described above in place of an opt-out. Where we use profiling for targeted advertising or marketing optimization, you may opt out as described in Section 5.
4. Who receives information
Service providers and contractors. We disclose information as needed to providers and contractors supporting hosting, storage and backups; account authentication and security; payments; email and SMS delivery; customer support; accessibility; validation; analytics and technical administration; marketing communications; reviews; document management; and printing, mailing and fulfillment. These functions include services provided by AWS, Stripe, Intercom, CleverTap, Stape and Google reCAPTCHA. The information involved depends on the function, such as contact details for communications, transaction details for payments, course records for support, and technical data for hosting or troubleshooting. Where a provider may also use information for its own purposes, such as the AI-tool and live chat providers described below, that use is governed by the provider’s own terms and privacy policy.
AI tools. We may use AI tools, including OpenAI’s ChatGPT and Anthropic’s Claude, to assist with internal analysis and administrative work. Information supplied to these tools may include identifiable student information within the records being analyzed. We seek to limit identifiable student information submitted to these tools to what is reasonably necessary for the task. Depending on the tool and the type of account used, a provider may process submitted information under its own terms and privacy policy, which may permit the provider to use that information to provide, maintain and improve its services, including, in some cases, to train its models. To learn more about these providers’ practices, please review the OpenAI Privacy Policy and the Anthropic Privacy Policy.
Live chat. Our live chat loads only when you choose to open it. If you use our live chat, the messages you send, any information you include in them, and related technical information are recorded and processed by our chat provider, Intercom, so that we can respond to you, maintain support records and improve our support. Intercom may also process chat information under its own terms, which may permit Intercom to use that information to develop and improve its services, including to train artificial intelligence models. To learn more, please review the Intercom Privacy Policy. Please do not include driver’s license numbers, payment card details or other sensitive information in chat messages unless we ask for it to resolve your request.
Advertising and analytics partners. As described below, partners may receive information for advertising and measurement and may process it for their own purposes under their privacy policies.
Government agencies. We disclose identification, license and course completion information to the California Department of Insurance when needed to report your continuing education completion, administer the course or meet legal requirements.
Public or requested disclosures. Reviews, testimonials and other content you choose to publish may be visible to others and may include your first name or initials. We do not control how others who view your public content may use it, and we are not responsible for the privacy or security of information you choose to make public. We also disclose information when you request or authorize a particular disclosure.
Aggregated information. We may create, use and share aggregate statistics about the Services for reporting, analysis and service improvement. Such statistics do not reasonably identify individual users. Information that can still reasonably be linked to you or your device remains subject to this policy.
Legal requests and protection of rights. We may disclose personal information, including student identification, license, course, completion, transaction and communication records, to courts, government agencies, law enforcement or other parties when required by applicable law or valid legal process, such as a subpoena, court order or search warrant. We may also access, preserve or disclose information when reasonably necessary and permitted by law to protect rights and safety, investigate fraud, enforce our Terms of Service or other agreements, or defend legal claims.
Business transfers. We may disclose information to parties evaluating or completing a merger, acquisition, financing or transfer of business assets, subject to applicable protections.
5. Advertising, analytics and your choices
We use Google analytics services to measure use of the Site. We do not currently use advertising pixels on the Site.
We may use advertising and analytics platforms for campaigns from time to time, including, where used, Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising and Clarity, Quora, Nextdoor, Meta (including Facebook and Instagram) and OpenAI (including advertising on ChatGPT). Listing a platform in this policy does not mean that we are currently advertising on it or that it is currently receiving information from us. When active, these platforms may receive online and contact identifiers, Site interactions and conversion information for advertising and measurement, subject to the consent and opt-out choices below, including GPC where applicable.
These activities can involve online and device identifiers, Site interactions, referral and campaign information, approximate location and contact identifiers used for measurement. Advertising and analytics partners may combine information with information obtained through other services, subject to their settings, terms and your choices.
To learn about the partners’ practices please review the following:
Google Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy)
Microsoft Privacy Statement (https://privacy.microsoft.com/privacystatement)
Quora Privacy Policy (https://www.quora.com/about/privacy)

Disclosures of identifiers and online activity for cross-context behavioral advertising may be considered a “sale,” “sharing” or “targeted advertising” under applicable privacy laws, even when no money is exchanged. You may opt out using Your Privacy Choices / Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information, or contact us using the details below.
California visitors. We use an opt-in approach. Optional analytics and advertising technologies remain off until you give the relevant consent through our cookie settings. You can refuse optional categories or withdraw consent at any time. You can also use Your Privacy Choices / Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information to opt out of sale or sharing for advertising.
Nevada residents. Nevada residents may submit a request directing us not to sell covered information, as defined under Nevada law, by using Your Privacy Choices / Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information or by emailing privacy@bailedu.com.
Visitors elsewhere in the United States. We use an opt-out approach. Optional analytics and advertising technologies may operate unless you opt out using our cookie settings or Your Privacy Choices / Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information. Necessary technologies supporting core services are handled separately.
We honor recognized opt-out preference signals, including Global Privacy Control (GPC), as requests to opt out of sale or sharing where applicable. You can send GPC by enabling it in a supporting browser or browser extension. You do not need to submit a separate request through our cookie banner for us to honor that signal. A signal applies to the browser or device sending it. Where we can associate it with your account, we also apply it to that account as required by applicable law. You may contact us to request that your choice be associated with other information we hold. Outside the United States, consent and opt-out requirements depend on applicable law.
We do not respond to the older browser “Do Not Track” setting. This is separate from GPC, which we honor as described above. Use our privacy controls or a recognized opt-out signal to communicate your preferences. Privacy choices may need to be repeated when you use another browser or device or clear stored preferences.
6. Cookies and similar technologies
We may use cookies and similar tracking technologies for various reasons, including to operate and secure the Services, analyze Site usage, save your preferences and settings for future use, serve advertisements based on your interests and measure advertising effectiveness, subject to the choices described in Section 5. Cookies are small text files that a web server places on your device. They are uniquely assigned to you and generally can only be read by a web server in the domain that issued them. Cookies cannot be used to run programs or deliver viruses to your computer.
We use both first-party cookies, which we set directly, and third-party cookies, which are set by our partners and service providers. We may also permit these third parties to use cookies on the Site to better tailor the services, products, and advertising available on the Site and other websites.
Most browsers are configured to accept cookies by default; however, you may adjust your browser settings to remove or reject cookies through your browser’s built-in controls. Your cookie and advertising preferences may be browser- and device-specific, meaning you may need to update your preferences separately on each browser and device you use to access the Services. Please note that removing or blocking cookies may negatively affect your user experience and may cause certain features and general functionality to work incorrectly or become unavailable. You may also manage certain cookies through the Site’s cookie preference tools, where available. Browser settings alone may not prevent all forms of tracking or constitute a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information under applicable privacy laws. For more general information about cookies and how to manage or disable them, you may visit https://allaboutcookies.org/.
Cookies We Use:
- Strictly Necessary Cookies. These cookies are essential for the Site to function and cannot be disabled through our cookie preference tools. They enable core functionality such as cookie consent management, Site security, fraud prevention, session management, and basic Site operation.
- Performance Cookies. These cookies are associated with our analytics tools and help us understand how visitors interact with the Site. We use this data to analyze Site usage, measure traffic and conversions, identify technical issues, and improve performance.
- Functionality Cookies. These cookies enable enhanced functionality and personalization, such as storing your localization preferences and remembering your preferences across visits. They may also support features such as live chat and embedded content.
- Targeting Cookies. These cookies are used by us and our advertising partners to build a profile of your interests, deliver relevant advertisements, and measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns. They may also be used to recognize your activity across different websites or services.
We do not control third parties’ collection or use of your information for interest-based advertising, but these parties may offer ways to opt out. We may work with network advertisers, ad agencies, analytics service providers, and other vendors to serve advertisements on the Site and in connection with the Services; to serve our advertisements elsewhere online; and to provide us with information regarding use of and traffic on the Site and in connection with the Services. These advertisements may be tailored based on information collected automatically (through tracking tools like cookies and web beacons) about your activities in connection with the Site and other websites you visit, over time and across different devices, and across the various websites and platforms you visit.
If you would prefer not to have your online activity tracked for purposes of receiving interest-based advertising, you can opt out through the NAI Consumer Opt-Out Tool or the About Ads option. These industry opt-out tools do not replace any rights you may have under applicable privacy laws. For California visitors, optional analytics and advertising technologies remain off until you consent, and you may also opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information through the mechanisms described in Section 5 and Section 10 of this Privacy Policy. We also recognize and process applicable opt-out preference signals, including Global Privacy Control, as required by law.
The cookies and similar technologies currently in use on the Site, their purpose and their duration are listed below. This list is maintained by our consent management tool and updates automatically.
Use of Web Beacons and Pixels
In conjunction with cookies, we and our advertising and analytics partners may use web beacons, also known as clear GIFs or pixel tags, to collect information about your use of the Site and to measure and tailor advertising, subject to the consent and opt-out choices described in Section 5.
Where you have consented or have not opted out, as applicable, we may use advertising pixels from the advertising platforms identified in Section 5 to measure conversions, support remarketing and measure the effectiveness of our advertising. Those platforms may use their own cookies and similar technologies to receive information from the Site, and you may see our advertisements on their platforms after visiting the Site.
Certain tracking technologies may collect or transmit information without placing cookies on your device. Where we obtain consent, including for California visitors, we do not deploy nonessential tracking technologies until consent is given.
7. Email and SMS preferences
Our emails may use tracking technologies to tell us whether a message was opened or a link was clicked. We use this information to measure engagement and improve communications, subject to applicable privacy choices.
You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in those messages. You can opt out of SMS messages by following the instructions in the message or contacting us. Opting out of marketing does not prevent us from sending necessary account, transaction or course communications through appropriate channels. We do not sell, rent or share mobile phone numbers or SMS opt-in data or consent with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile information may be shared with service providers that help us deliver text messages, solely to provide that service.
8. Retention and security
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described here, considering course and reporting requirements, account administration, transaction records, support needs, legal obligations and disputes. Different records may have different retention periods. Deletion requests are subject to applicable exceptions, including records we must retain for legal or regulatory reasons.
We use administrative, technical and organizational measures designed to protect information, including encrypted connections to the Site and access controls intended to limit access to personnel and providers who need information for their assigned work. No system or transmission method is completely secure.
Security incidents. If we determine or reasonably suspect a security incident affecting the Services, including unauthorized access to, acquisition of or disclosure of personal information, we will investigate, contain and remediate the incident and, where appropriate or required by law, notify affected individuals and applicable authorities without undue delay. We may cooperate with law enforcement and may provide notice by email or on the Site, as permitted by law.
Protect your password or social sign-in credentials, limit access to your devices, and sign out when using a shared device. Contact us if you suspect unauthorized account access. A third-party sign-in provider may offer additional security controls through its service.
Our providers and personnel may process information in locations outside your state or country. Where applicable, we use the protections required for those transfers. See Section 12 for information about international users.
9. Privacy rights and requests
Depending on where you live and the laws that apply, you may have rights to access or obtain a copy of your information, learn its sources and uses, correct inaccuracies, request deletion, receive a portable copy of information you provided and have it transmitted to another party where technically feasible, restrict or object to certain processing, opt out of sale or sharing or targeted advertising, opt out of certain profiling, limit certain uses of sensitive information, withdraw consent where processing relies on it, and appeal our decision on your request. You may exercise applicable rights without unlawful discrimination or retaliation.
California residents may request information about the categories and specific pieces of personal information collected, the categories of sources and recipients, and the purposes of collection, use and disclosure. Under California Civil Code section 1798.83, where applicable, residents may also request the categories of personal information disclosed for third parties’ direct marketing and the names and addresses of those third parties. Send these requests to either privacy contact listed below.
Send requests to privacy@bailedu.com or legal@bailedu.com. You can also contact our live chat for assistance. We will not require you to create an account to submit a request. We may ask for information reasonably necessary to verify your identity for access, correction or deletion requests, using information already associated with your account where possible. Opt-out requests do not require the same identity verification. An authorized agent may submit a request, and we may require proof of authority and any verification permitted by law. We will not collect or use personal information beyond what is reasonably necessary to verify and process your request.
Account updates and closure. Where available, account settings let you review or update profile and contact information. You can also request corrections, account closure or deletion through either privacy email address. Closing an account or changing a profile does not automatically erase records we must retain for reporting, transactions, disputes or other legal requirements. Earlier versions of records may be retained where needed for those purposes, subject to applicable law. Aggregate statistics that do not reasonably identify you may remain after an account is closed.
We respond within the time required by applicable law. If we cannot fulfill a request in whole or in part, we will explain the reason. If we deny your request, you may appeal by emailing privacy@bailedu.com with “Privacy Request Appeal” in the subject line within 45 days of our decision. We will respond to your appeal within the time required by applicable law. If your appeal is denied, you may also contact your state Attorney General or the relevant privacy regulator where that right is available.
10. Additional California disclosures
The following disclosures supplement the sections above for California residents. They describe the 12 months preceding the effective date of this policy. The categories overlap; for example, a driver’s license number is both an identifier and sensitive personal information.

| California category and examples | Provider and contractor categories | Business purposes |

The table above does not repeat information provided elsewhere in this policy. For the categories of sources from which we collect personal information, see Section 2. In addition to the providers and contractors listed above, we disclose identification, license and course completion records to the California Department of Insurance for continuing education reporting, course administration and legal requirements, as described in Section 4. For how long we retain each category of personal information, see the retention criteria in Section 8.
AI-tool providers may also receive information from these categories, which may on occasion include sensitive personal information, when it is included in records submitted for the internal analysis and administrative purposes described in Section 4. Depending on the type of account used, some AI-tool providers may use that information for their own purposes, including to train their models, and in that case receive it as third parties rather than as our service providers or contractors. Our live chat provider, Intercom, may likewise use chat messages and related technical information, including any category of information you include in a message, for its own purposes as described in Section 4.
Sale or sharing for advertising. During the same period, we did not run advertising campaigns for the Site and did not knowingly sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. Analytics providers received online identifiers and internet or other electronic network activity to measure use of the Site. If we begin advertising, those disclosures may constitute sale or sharing under California law, including when we receive no monetary payment, and this section will be updated. Section 5 explains how to opt out, including through GPC.
Sensitive personal information.
Right to limit use of sensitive personal information. California residents may direct us to limit our use and disclosure of their sensitive personal information to the purposes permitted under California law, such as providing the Services you request, verifying your identity, securing your account, preventing fraud and meeting legal and reporting obligations. You may submit this request through Your Privacy Choices / Limit the Use of My Sensitive Personal Information or by emailing privacy@bailedu.com. After we receive your request, we will not use or disclose your sensitive personal information for other purposes, including by submitting it to AI tools whose providers may use it for their own purposes, unless you later authorize us to do so.
We use and disclose sensitive personal information to provide requested services, verify identity, maintain and secure accounts, prevent fraud, and meet legal obligations, including course reporting and valid legal process. As described in Section 4, sensitive personal information may also be included in records submitted to AI tools for internal analysis and administrative work, and depending on the type of account used, an AI-tool provider may use submitted information under its own terms, including to train its models. We do not use driver’s license numbers, passwords or other security credentials for advertising, or use sensitive personal information to profile you for advertising or to infer characteristics about you.
Financial Incentives. We do not currently offer consumers financial incentives, price or service differences, or loyalty programs in exchange for personal information, and we do not operate an affiliate or referral program for the Services. If we introduce a program that offers rewards, discounts or other benefits related to the collection, retention or sale of personal information, we will provide a notice of financial incentive describing its material terms before you participate, and you may withdraw from the program at any time.
11. Minors
Our courses are intended for licensed bail agents aged 18 and older. We do not accept enrollments from anyone under 18 and do not knowingly sell or share personal information of consumers under 16. If you believe we have collected or disclosed information about a child improperly, contact us at support@bailedu.com with “Minor Data Collected Notification” in the subject line so we can review and address it. A parent or guardian may contact us about rights available under applicable law.
California minors’ content removal. If you are a California resident under 18 and a registered user, you may request removal of content or information you posted publicly on the Services by emailing privacy@bailedu.com and identifying the content. We will remove the content from public view on the Services, but removal does not ensure complete or comprehensive removal (for example, from caches, archives or copies reposted by others).
12. International users
The Services are operated from the United States and are intended only for users located in the United States. Consistent with our Terms of Service, users located in, or residents or citizens of, the European Union or the European Economic Area are not permitted to use the Services, and we do not intend to offer services to, or monitor the behavior of, individuals in those regions. If you access the Services from outside the United States, your personal information will be transferred to, processed and stored in the United States and other jurisdictions where we or our providers operate, where data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction.
13. Governing law
This Privacy Policy, and any dispute, claim or controversy arising out of or relating to it, is governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law rules that would result in the application of the laws of another jurisdiction. Disputes are subject to the dispute resolution and arbitration provisions in Section 15 of our Terms of Service. Any dispute that is not subject to arbitration or that cannot be heard in small claims court will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California.
14. Severability
If any part of this Privacy Policy is deemed unlawful or unenforceable, all other provisions will remain in full force and effect.
15. Changes and contact
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes to the Services or to legal or regulatory requirements. When we do, we will post the revised policy on the Site and update the “Last Updated” date at the top. For material changes affecting information we have already collected, we will endeavor to provide advance notice by email or a prominent notice on the Site. We will provide any additional notice and obtain consent where required by law. Continued use of the Services alone does not replace consent where consent is required.
For privacy questions or requests, or if you need this Privacy Policy in an alternative format due to a disability, please contact us at privacy@bailedu.com.
For course assistance, use support@bailedu.com or our 24/7 live chat.
